Join us on a tour of The Old Town Hall – a building filled with history. Previously home of the local government, the base of Trowbridge Urban District Council, the local Magistrates’ Court, Coroner’s Court and County Court. It was also a major public venue for all kinds of cultural and civic occasions in the 1960s featuring the Top Twenty Club and performances from bands such as The Who!
Originally built “for the benefit of the inhabitants of the town” – come and hear about its journey through the years, including our recent refurbishment.
Tours are at 11am & 2pm on the third Saturday of the month.
Spaces are free, but limited, so please book a space to avoid disappointment.
There are areas of The Old Town Hall that are challenging for those who are unable to use stairs. Please get in touch if you have any concerns, or would like to hear more about accessibility.
