Milk Monologues is an explorative participation project with diverse groups of parents on the life-changing experience of infant feeding, one of the most fundamental aspects of early life.
Light and Lark, who created and led the project, partnered with Trowbridge Town Hall and Tobacco Factory Theatres, and were granted funding from Arts Council England. They delivered 14 live and online participatory sessions with parents & caregivers.
Light and Lark are currently working hard to secure funding for Milk Monologues Phase 2, due to commence in Summer 2023. This will comprise the commissioning of a brand new play text, which will form the backbone of a theatre production based on the diverse experiences of infant feeding, which will run alongside a further programme of outreach with local parents & caregivers.
